A silly nickname for a not at all silly guitar. It's an Inca Silver Strat-style guitar with an abalone styled pick guard. The deep coats of nitrocellulose lacquer give both a rich look and feel to the body. The pick guard carries EMG S Set pickups and electronics. One of my favorite aspects is the neck -- it's particularly slim and nicely constructed (likely rock maple neck to get it that slim with rosewood fretboard). Since it came with a full paddle head, I figured it would look cool to do a reverse headstock (with locking tuners, 'cause that trem) and the new headstock shape. Brass block in the trem to improve sustain. Equipped with Planet Waves Elliptical End Pins because I care.Â
It's a lot of what you expect in a well setup Strat-like guitar with great pickups, just a bit different. Maybe just a bit cooler. To me, the longer fat strings have a nice bounce to them (I'm working on a Firebird with a reverse headstock and the strings have a similar feel). Also to me, it feels like less work to lift my hand under the headstock rather than over it to tune. Five springs on the trem, happy to adjust to suit, of course.
Available now with nice padded gig bag for only $795 through Father's Day!
