Building good guitars for aspiring players
No matter how beautiful your guitar is, if you don't play it, it's wall art. So while we make some beautiful guitars (and we're okay if you really want it as wall art), what matters at least as much to us is how it feels and plays and sounds. It should be your favorite guitar with your eyes closed and your ears wide open. So from top to bottom and from inside to out, every guitar gets the best setup, fretwork and wiring we are capable of because that's what will help you be the best player you can be.
And as 2027 approaches, I'm pivoting to some other creative outlets. As much as I love building custom guitars, finding them new homes at an acceptable price isn't any fun for me. So I won't be doing it any more. I'd be delighed to take your commission, but I'm no longer building for inventory. You can look through past builds here.
Easiest way for me to know what you want or how we can help is to send a message to millard (at) kerfguitars (dot) com. Until the site closes. Then feel free to contact me through GritAndGlint.com. I'll be taking my woodworking and finishing skills and mashing those up with some new metalworking skills as well as some lapidary exploits.
