Currently at the Rhett Gallery in downtown Beaufort, SC is one of our first, truly custom guitars. It's a bit of a throwback -- LP Junior double cuataway style, wraparound bridge, kerf dogear P90 pickup. The Zebrawood top is bookmatched and set at an angle for a bit of a Big Cat in the Foothills look.

Like any custom guitar, there are extras not immediately visible. 

• The neck was hand-crafted of Far East Maple and Indian Rosewood. The frets are shaped and shined and the thing "plays like buttah" as they say.

• The Volume control is a push-pull potentiometer that taps the coil in the P90 pickup so you can toggle between a vintage output and one with more of a modern, overwound growl. 

• The Tone control is a Fender TBX (Treble-Bass eXpander). In the center position (you can feel a slight detente at 5), this is a "no load" position and essentially takes the Tone control out of the circuit -- full bypass. Almost like a normal Tone control set on 10. From 1-5, it acts like a normal Tone control, reducing the high-end. From 5-10, it's the reverse of a typical Tone control, reducing the low-end. Depending on your ears, this can be a nice little tweak when in the Overwound mode if you want to clean up the low-end a bit.

• The wraparound bridge is fully intonatable. No "close enough for rock and roll" tuning required. Get the note you meant to play every time.
