I often give the guitars nicknames as I work on them -- it's easier to make sense of my notes, especially if there are a couple similar styles getting worked on at the same time. As this lovely, one piece mahogany body with fancy maple cap and I were considering how to finish it, I looked at these EMG pickups that just came into the shop and I had my answer: She's a natural blonde, so let's lean into that with a completely natural finish. Grover tuners, EMG pickups and electronics, Schaller roller bridge for added tuning stability. Tusq nut, always, set neck construction. I can swap out the roller bridge for something more traditional, at your request. Through-body stringing for added feel and sustain. And I like how it makes the tension more visible. It is not a PRS but does pay tribute to that iconic brand. It's light: 6 lbs, 9 oz. The satin nitrocellulose finish feels great.
